NEWS- APRIL 2012
Lots of exciting things on the go for 2012, including my new trio project which I'm excited about. The trio features my compositions, as well as compositions from my good friends Rémi-Jean LeBlanc (bass) and Tom Eliosoff (guitar). We played our first gig March 18th at the Upstairs Jazz Bar and Grill in Montreal. Thanks to all who came out!!

I just finished producing a 6 song EP with singer/songwriter Lucas Marston. Me and Lucas have been great friends since we were riding skateboards at age 14, and it was a lot of fun to get back to work on some serious music. I just recorded an album with Montreal jazz guitarist Francois Jalbert. The album also featured great performances by Jérome Beaulieu on piano (who also contributed a few compositions), and Rémi-Jean LeBlanc on bass. The album has been produced independently and will be launched May 1st, 2012 at the Upstairs Jazz Bar.

The Alexandre Côté Quintet launched our record last October. This group also won the TD Grand Prix Award for "Best Group" at the 2011 Féstival International de Jazz de Montréal!! You can watch a video of us playing Alex's composition "Jackart" for Global TV Montreal HERE . We will be playing again at next year's Jazz Fest in Montreal.
