NEWS- JANUARY 2012
Happy New Year!!
2011 was a great year, so many great concerts, tours and drum solos!! I feel super lucky to be doing what I do, and I hope to continue until my arms fall off or I win the lottery and buy a condo on Mars. Thanks to all the people I shared stages with and all the people who helped me get to the stage!
Lots of exciting things on the go for 2012, including a new trio project which I'm excited about - stay tuned!!

The Alexandre Côté Quintet launched our record last October. This group also won the TD Grand Prix Award for "Best Group" at the 2011 Féstival International de Jazz de Montréal!! You can watch a video of us playing Alex's composition "Jackart" for Global TV Montreal HERE

Summer Highlights:
July 14, 2011
I just got back from the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, Holland this week where I performed with Rafael Zaldivar. We were chose as one of five finalists for the EBU European Jazz Competition. Included in the judge panel were saxophonist Tony Malaby (NY) and pianist Barry Harris. We didn't win, but had a great time at the festival checking out all the shows and meeting musicians from all over the world. I had to pinch myself the last night I was there, as I was backstage at one of the main stages, surrounded by great musicians; Branford Marsalis and his 4tet, Dave Douglas, Clarence Penn, Eddie Palmieri, Heracio "El Negro" Hernandez, Nate Smith and many others. Such a great festival! So many good shows and such a great vibe. Too bad the festival is only 3 days long!! I hope to return in the future.
